Intense pulse light laser treatment

How does it work?

This non-invasive skin therapy works by selecting the area to be treated, flashing highly concentrated and controlled light beams to the follicles beneath the skin, and destroying the re-growth potential of the follicle. This therapy does not damage the surrounding tissue and is highly effective at preventing re-growth of the hair.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

The Intense Pulse Light laser therapy is even more advanced than lasers and is proven to treat unwanted hair in a safe and effective manner, on every skin type. Your sensitivity to ultra-violet radiation does not factor into this equation but you may be asked about your medical history to ensure your comfort and safety during this therapy.

Due to the light therapy, only hair with some pigment in it can be treated – from very blonde to very black. Any ethnic hair can be treated with great success.

What can you expect?

This treatment is not painful, nor is it invasive. The pulsing light is applied directly to the skin through a gel similar to that of ultra-sound gel. When the therapy is complete, much of the unwanted hair is wiped off with the gel; the remainder of the hair falls out in the forthcoming weeks.
